Description
U R an’ I AM, we are a failing land is a timeless piece that then, addressed the Uranium mining exploits of the Federal Government.
This painting was one of the first to carry my distinct trademark of seven flat bottom clouds, representative of the ‘Commonwealth Star’ upon the National flag. This configuration became fine tuned in this perspective format as a metaphor for the ‘States & Territories’ i.e… from W.A. down to Lutruita (“Tasmania”).
The processing plants in the background spew out residue into the already depleted waterways.
The bubba finds a chunk of uranium and as the Father spins the yo-yo, he admonishes the baby to not place the poison into it’s mouth. The title is of course a play on words of the song that is most endeared to the patriotic sentimental ‘Strayan.
